Day 3 | January 30th, 2027
From Digital Models to Healthcare Outcomes
Hands-on Workshops, 09:00 am โ 04:00 pm
Workshop 1
Harnessing the potential of AI for Health Professions Education
In this workshop, we will address the potential for use of digital tools including AI in education, the need for ethical policies and understanding of the current use cases. There will be talks by experts, demonstration of platforms (including generative AI) and content management. There will be demonstration of applications and opportunities for hands-on experience.
Workshop 2
Radiomics and Medical Imaging AI
In this workshop, we will introduce radiomics and quantitative imaging for medical images. Through lectures, demonstrations and practical sessions, participants will learn how to extract and analyse quantitative imaging and then use them in AI models for applications such as classification tasks, disease outcome modelling, treatment response modelling etc. This workshop will provide access to sample image datasets, radiomics feature engineering and model building using machine learning, with minimal coding skills requirement.
Workshop 3
Machine Learning for Behavioural Monitoring with Wearables
In this workshop, we will introduce how machine learning can be used to analyse human movement and behaviour using data from wearable sensors. Through live demonstrations, participants will be guided through the workflow involved in developing and evaluating machine learning models for applications such as assessing upper limb function, classifying activities, tracking exercises, analysing gait, and automatically scoring tests such as the Box and Block Test. The workshop is open to clinicians, engineers, researchers, students, and anyone interested in digital health or rehabilitation technology. No prior experience with machine learning is required. Familiarity with Python may help participants better understand the demonstrated workflows, but it is not necessary.
