Dr. Kohli served as the former Chairman of the Board of the Health Informa-on and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and has served as Chief Medical Informa-on Officer (CMIO) at esteemed health systems, including Aurora Healthcare, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Partners Harvard Medical International/Dubai Healthcare City, and Johns Hopkins. He is the CEO and Founder of Beyond Horizon Health, a digital health advisory firm that collaborates with clients on ini-a-ves to improve patient care, organisational outcomes, and impact. Addi-onally, Dr. Kohli advises domes-c and interna-onal health technology startups on strategies to bring impacTul innova-on to bedside. Furthermore, he is the Founder of the Pul Alliance for Digital Health and Equity, a non-profit organiza-on dedicated to promo-ng digital health and equity. Dr. Tavpritesh Sethi
Dr. Tavpritesh Sethi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computational Biology and the Founding Head of the Center of Excellence in Healthcare at IIIT-Delhi. His expertise lies at the intersection of computer science and healthcare, with a focus on leveraging AI and data-driven solutions to improve patient outcomes.Dr. Sethi’s research focuses on integrating social determinants of health into AI-driven solutions for infectious and non-communicable diseases. His work includes developing early warning systems for pediatric and neonatal ICUs and COVID-19, as well as leading a WHO Alliance-sponsored project on AI-powered decision support for Mohalla Clinics.
Dr. Geraldine Dean
Dr. Geraldine Dean is a musculoskeletal radiology consultant in southwest London where she serves as the AI Clinical Lead. She holds the positions of AI Chair and Lead for the NHS South West AI Group encompassing five hospitals. Additionally, she is the Head of UK AI Implementation for Telemedicine Clinic (TMC), Europe’s largest teleradiology firm and is a member of the advisory board at the AI Centre of Excellence at Unilabs. Dr Dean is an AI advisor to the Royal College of Radiolgists.
Dr. Verghese Thomas
Verghese is a design researcher and health informatician with a background in community medicine. He doesn’t expect you to know what design research and health informatics are (but it would be nice if you found out). He works at the intersection of health, social and behavioral sciences, and information science and technology to strengthen health systems for community transformation in India.
Mr. Himank Kalra
Himank Kalra is a Clinical Research Scientist at Varian Medical Affairs with expertise in radiation oncology and treatment planning. He has over 8 years of experience and held key roles, including Medical Physicist at Manipal Hospitals and BLK Max Hospital, gaining extensive clinical experience in treatment planning, radiation safety, and quality assurance. In the role of Senior Clinical Training Specialist at Varian He has trained over 680+ professionals across 150+ institutions, specializing in machine learning-driven tools such as Knowledge Based Planning and brachytherapy. He holds a Master of Science in Physics and a Diploma in Radiological Physics from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and is currently pursuing PhD in Physics. He has served as faculty for AROI and AMPI association, and international teaching courses of ESTRO.
Dr Karthik Adapa
Dr Karthik Adapa is a physician-scientist and also has experience working with the Government and Academia. Before joining, WHO-SEARO, Dr Adapa was Secretary to the Government of Punjab, India, Department of Health, and Family Welfare. Dr Adapa’s research broadly focuses on designing, developing, implementing, validating, and evaluating health information technology (IT) interventions. He uses methods from human factors engineering, implementation science, and artificial intelligence based on his training in internal medicine, public health, public policy, and health informatics. Dr Adapa is an adjunct faculty at Yale University and the University of North Carolina- School of Medicine and also serves on the editorial board of leading digital health journals such as Nature’s Digital Medicine, Sage Health Informatics, JMIR, Frontiers Digital Health, and PLOS Digital Health.
Dr. Vikram Gota
Dr. Vikram Gota completed his MD in pharmacology from Christian Medical College, Vellore, following which he briefly worked as a Clinical Investigator in BA/BE studies. Thereafter, he joined the INDO-Oxford (INDOX) Cancer Trials Network at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, where he received training in the design and conduct of phase I clinical trials. During this time he also obtained the post graduate diploma in clinical trials from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London. He is presently the officer-in-charge of the department of clinical pharmacology at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Tata Memorial Centre. His research interests include early clinical development and pharmacokinetics driven optimization of drugs used in cancer. He has worked as an investigator in several phase I clinical trials including first-in-human studies of investigational new drugs.
Dr. Swapnil Rane
Dr. Swapnil Rane is a Professor at the Tata Memorial Centre’s Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research, and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Navi Mumbai. His expertise encompasses head and neck pathology, molecular pathology, and digital pathology. Dr. Rane has made significant contributions to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in oncopathology, leading several projects that apply AI to enhance cancer diagnosis and research. His scholarly work includes numerous publications in esteemed journals, reflecting his commitment to advancing cancer pathology. He has setup and leads a Computational Pathology laboratory at TMC-ACTREC. His contributions in AI/ML in Oncology extend beyond pathology. He is also the founding head of the Department of Digital and Computational Oncology being setup at TMC to drive AI/ML in oncology spanning areas as diverse as Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Pathology, Health records and -Omics. Dr. Rane’s innovative approach and dedication to merging technology with pathology and oncology have established him as a leader in the field.
Dr Hannah Thomas
Dr Hannah Thomas is a staff Scientist in the BioMedical Informatics Unit at Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore. Additionally, she is also the co-founder and Research lead at the Quantitative Imaging and Artificial Intelligence Lab in Radiation Oncology in CMC Vellore. She has experience with the use of multimodal data for risk modelling in oncology . She also has extensive experience in bridging the gap between academia and clinical practice, focusing on solving real-world healthcare problems using technology-based solutions.
